This isn't a thing, it just happened to be there when I was strutting along. I'm sure the rain has washed them away by now.
There are multiple areas on the trail where you can branch off and go for a dip.
"Listen, and you can hear
Water murmuring. Now far, now near
It sounds, the treble swish
Of spray uprising and the splash
Of drops in pools; the soft tones
Of streams falling upon stones.
It is the fountain, like the thoughts of men,
Rising, falling, and rising again."
There are some pretty steep climbs, but on some areas there are some assisted areas. Still go up with caution, you can always lose your footing.
Found myself being chased by these guys the entire hike.
